The end is nearing... [39 Weeks]

So I just THOUGHT that last post would be my last before Mason's arrival! We had our 39 week check up this morning with the doc. We have officially set a date for inducing if he doesn't arrive on his own! One week from today, Monday, July 14, 2014, we will meet our little Mason Richard!!! We will arrive to the hospital late Sunday night and they will start the inducing process @ midnight. Right now, I am dilated at a 1 but he still has not dropped. We had an ultrasound and they said he is weighing at around 7lbs, 7 oz right now. We are just thrilled that we finally are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel! We. Can. Not. WAIT!!!

Now that we have set a date, I am getting even more anxious. This week will be spent cleaning, organizing, and doing anything else I can before I am tied up with a baby. And after Mason gets here, I am getting serious about eating healthier. Brandon has been doing the Advocare 10-Day Herbal Cleanse and it's been really helping him kick his bad eating habits! He's been doing GREAT on it! So proud of him. He has way more will power than I do though. I have zero self control when it comes to food. I am excited to start the journey of parenthood AND weight loss. We are looking to God for guidance in both.

I feel as though I need to take a minute to applaud my amazing husband. He has been SUCH an amazing supporter throughout this entire pregnancy. We had only been married for 5 months when we decided to "start trying", but I knew even before then that he was going to make an incredible father. He is so patient and understanding. He loves me even when I treat him like dirt (thanks to my hormones). He has been so awesome and I have grown to love him even MORE than I could have ever imagined! And when I get to see him be a daddy in action......I'm not sure my heart will be able to take it all in!!

38 Weeks!!

I have a feeling this will be the last post I write before Mason's arrival! I honestly thought I might do a better job at posting weekly, but as you can tell I slacked a few weeks! Oh well :) I've hit all the high points so far!

Well we are officially full-term and this momma is ready to pop!! Since my last post, we had one more shower for Mason. My sweet co-workers went in together and all got me what we were still lacking! Also, this past Friday was my last day as a "working woman". I am now officially a stay-at-home mommy! I will also be working part-time for my church, doing a lot of the work from home! I am so excited about this new chapter in mine & Brandon's lives. We are taking a big leap of faith deciding on me to stay home. B's job is commission based, so we don't know exactly how much he will be bringing in each month. However, we have been fervently praying about this since we found out we were pregnant and we both feel a great peace about this decision and we are hoping our lives can be a testimony to God's faithfulness!

We celebrated Father's Day with mine & Brandon's families a few weeks ago! And we also took some maternity pictures with my fabulous sis-in-love, Jamie! She is so talented! Can't wait to see the pics she takes on the day Mason is born!!

I am SO ANXIOUS for Mason's arrival! I had my 38 week check up yesterday. Still no progression or start of labor just yet! My doctor said Mason is still sitting VERY high with no signs of dropping. She also said my pelvis is very small and he might not have dropped yet because of that. (Meaning I will probably have to have a c-section!) But she also said since this is my first, we aren't sure if that's the case or if he just simply hasn't dropped yet because he's not ready to. We will see. In the mean time, I'm mentally preparing for a c-section. I'll have an ultrasound at my next appointment to check up on the little guy! I can't wait to see him!!

Here are some pics from over the past few weeks!

Got to see "Auntie Bethany" while in El Dorado for Father's Day! She happened to be in town!!

Brandon had a lot of "fun" putting together all of Mason's stuff! ;)

Father's Day celebration with my family in Downtown El Dorado!
